2nd Adults win against TTC Neukölln IV (6:4)
The 2nd Adults team of SV Friedrichstadt secured a 6:4 victory against TTC Neukölln IV in the Bezirksklasse C. Following a mixed doubles start – Prziwarka/Ziemer narrowly fell short after five sets (11:9, 11:8, 8:11, 7:11, 9:11), while Aljumaa/Sander countered with a dominant 3:0 win (11:6, 17:15, 12:10) – our team showed significant improvement in the singles matches. David Sander and Oliver Prziwarka particularly stood out: Sander won both his matches 3:2 and 3:1, while Prziwarka finished the second round with a 3:1 victory (11:8, 11:7, 10:12, 14:12). With two hard-fought five-set thrillers, including Farin Ziemer's hard-won victory against Till Koch (2:11, 11:6, 11:7, 9:11, 14:12), we secured an away win and continued to build on our record. 1. Adults draw against Olympischer SC II (5:5)
SV Friedrichstadt's 1st team drew 5:5 at home against Olympischer SC II in the District League D, a result that reflected the level of play. After losing both doubles matches, our players had to fight back – and they did so impressively: Wolfgang Wießler swept his opponent off the table with a straight 11:2, 11:7, 11:2 victory, and Felix Nicklaus and Marius Fahrner also won convincingly in their opening singles. In the second round, Tom Hirche showed nerves of steel: with sets of 11:5, 4:11, 10:12, 11:5, 13:11, he won a spectacular five-set thriller against Marley Collin Okoe and secured the equalizer.
